What a perfect day...wine tasting and exploring the rustic vineyards.

We sipped Syrah and picnicked on the grounds.

At this point I decided to create new looks by mixing and matching my pieces from Vogel 10's latest collection.

Travel Diaries

Ahhh...Aix-en-Provence.  We spent the day getting lost in the sounds, sights, smells, and tastes of what felt like a miniature version of Paris.

I can think of few things better than a little boutique like this.

And, the gray shirt dress is quickly becoming one of my favorite pieces.

Worn unbuttoned over the gray tank and then layered with the cropped dark gray cashmere vest, it was perfect for a day in the city.

Petit Peche & Co., our culinary host, arranged a trip to the village market, where we shopped for the ingredients for that night's cooking lesson and dinner at the villa. 

Seasonal fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs inspired our meal.

I decided to go with Vogel 10’s black long sleeve top and gray zip leggings, easy and fun.

I just loved the evenings - relaxing in the company of good people, excellent food and wine, and my Vogel 10.

Yum.  I think tomorrow calls for more shopping - this time, shoes.

I started my trip with lunch in the gardens of 

the hotel. 

It felt like fall, and the gray rain clouds were a perfect compliment for my Vogel 10 V Silk Dress.

 I brought the long cashmere cardigan along to stay warm while exploring the grounds.

Our new collection was made with glob-trotting in mind-- and the whole combo of silk and cashmere, well, it kinda makes us feel like we're at the top of the world.

So, go ahead and grab a blindfold. Go for a spin! Whirl your way to your next big adventure- and don't forget to pack light to travel far. 

If you're not going to pack light, at least pack smart!

Behind the Scenes at the vogel10 Fall Photoshoot!

We are working away getting all of the Fall deliciousness ready... Our Photoshoot this week was SO much fun with the lovely photographer Annie McElwain, the Makeup by Sole Alberti, the art direction by Justina Blakeney, and the helpful (and Talented) hands of Nelly, Leti, Natalie and our lovely models Natlaie and Lilly. Vanessa did all the styling and then afterwords we all got to hop in the pool, because it's been HOT in LA this week.  We have the best jobs ever- seriously.  We can't wait to show you the pics, so stay tuned!

Meet Caitlin!

This month's Vogel 10 collection features Caitlin, a chef and stylist originally from Berkeley, CA.
Caitlin grew traveling the globe with her boho parents.  In the past year, work and love has taken her to places as far and as lovely as Baku Azerbaijan, Sri Lanka, Paris and Greece. With all of this globe trotting, Caitlin has learned to pack light!  She also has some great travel tips for us:

1.) Call home with skype, even from an iPod Touch- and save that cash for souvenirs.
2.) Look up the type of plane you're taking.  Different planes have different 'best seats'-- sneak your way to extra leg-room by doing your research first!
3.) Pack light in a larger suitcase-that way, you'll have extra room to pack the new stuff that you come home with.

Vogel 10 hearts Mother Earth

Tomorrow is Earth Day and we believe that celebrating the earth is about acknowledging and respecting all of earth's gifts. Here at Vogel 10, we believe that less is more. The more ways to wear one item, the better-- the more the Superior Pima cotton lasts, the less we have to consume.  We mix vintage fabrics (like the fabric that this tunic was made from) with organic cottons- we use our imaginations to re-invent fabric fallout so that nothing goes to waste. 

Being conscious of the earth is about making small changes that have a big impact.  We are working hard to not only help you pack light, but also to tread light on the enviroment. Of Course, it doesn't stop here. We can always do better-- and we are committed to doing better. 

This weekend, I plan to go plant trees with Forest Aid.

The goal: Plant 25,000 trees this spring in the San Bernardino National Forest devastated by the 2003 and 2007 wildfires that burned 185,000 acres (it’ll take 3,500 of us to do it).

My Uniform this Week: The Comfy Jet-setter.

There is nothing worse that being uncomfortable on a plane. The temperature can be unpredictable-- so can the person you got randomly seated next to! I was once seated next to a crazy lady who stole food right off of my food tray while I was in the bathroom! One thing is for sure, whenever I travel, I make sure to have a few vital things: a warm, soft, lightweight sweater, comfy leggings, built in bra cami (under-wire can get so uncomfortable after many hours...) an extra pair of socks and a beanie. I also usually bring my oversized tote bag so I can be sure to fit all of my clothing, my magazines, music and my computer.

Hey everyone! Let me take a sec to introduce myself.  My name is Justina and I work with Vanessa (or should I say play with Vanessa) here at Vogel10.   Vanessa designs the clothes and I do the art direction and help with concepts and graphics.

I felt like the luckiest gal in the world when I recently got to go on an adventure to London with Vanessa  to do research for the new line. We caught what had to be the nicest weather to ever hit London.
